OR

These private schools and other private schools around the county require cognitive testing as part of their admission process.

We can provide reports to almost all private schools. The required tests are the WPPSI-IV and the WISC-V, which are the Gold Standard of child assessment.

WPPSI

The Wechsler Preschool & Primary Scale of Intelligence FourthSample of children's task on test Edition (WPPSI-IV) is a test that measures a child’s mind development. It’s designed for preschoolers and children between 2.5 and 7.5 years old.

Based on up-to-date theories and research, this test evaluates verbal skills, reasoning, working memory, and processing speed. Like other standardized tests, the WPPSI-IV has been tested on a large group of children of the same age and gender, so a child’s scores can be compared to those of other children in their age group.

WISC-V

The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children Fifth Edition (WISC-V) is a test used to assess a child’s intellectual capabilities in fiveTesting blocks key areas of cognition that affect their performance. It is suitable for children aged between 6 and almost 17 years old.

The WISC-V evaluates a child’s verbal communication, reasoning, working memory, and processing speed abilities. It’s a standardized test based on a large sample of children of the same age and gender. This makes it possible to compare a child’s results with those of other children in their age group.

Can I have my child evaluated without applying to a school?

Yes, many parents have us do these tests so they can better understand their children. The tests will reveal various aspects of your child’s thinking. Once the report is completed, Dr. Estupinian will thoroughly explain the results and recommendations.

Applying to American Mensa Organization

These tests are accepted as providing one aspect of the requirements for membership in the Mensa Organization. This office can send a copy of the report to children who achieve the required score for admission. Please note that an additional processing fee will be requested.
