The offices of Ginny Estupinian, Ph.D. Provides IQ Testing for the following private schools:

These private schools and other bay area private schools require cognitive testing as part of their admission process.  The tests required are the WPPSI-IV and the WISC-V.

WPPSI

The Wechsler Preschool & Primary Scale of Intelligence FourthSample of children's task on test Edition (WPPSI-IV) is a special test that measures how a child’s mind is developing. It’s designed for preschoolers and young children aged between 2.5 and 7.5 years old. This test evaluates abilities such as verbal skills, reasoning, working memory, and processing speed based on up-to-date theories and research. Like other standardized tests, the WPPSI-IV has been tested on a large group of children of the same age and gender, so a child’s scores can be compared to those of other children in their age group.

WISC-V

The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children Fifth Edition (WISC-V) is a test used to assess a child’s intellectual capabilities in fiveTesting blocks key areas of cognition that affect their performance. It is suitable for children aged between 6 and almost 17 years old. The WISC-V evaluates a child’s abilities in areas like verbal communication, reasoning, working memory, and processing speed. It’s a standardized test, meaning it has been tested on a large sample of children of the same age and gender. This makes it possible to compare a child’s results with those of other children in their age group.
