Due to individual differences, there is no specific time period. However, at the first session, I will provide a treatment plan, and we will discuss the various avenues available to you so that you can make an informed decision.
Therapy is tailored to your unique needs and goals, so each experience is different. Generally, sessions involve discussing current life events, exploring relevant personal history, and reflecting on progress or insights from previous sessions.
Therapy can be short-term to address specific issues or longer-term for deeper patterns and personal growth. Most people schedule regular sessions at first and then tailor off until they graduate.
Therapy works best when you actively participate. The goal is to apply what you learn in sessions to your everyday life.
I will suggest activities outside of therapy, like journaling, reading, or taking steps toward your goals.
Successful therapy often starts with a willingness to embrace change, explore new perspectives, and take responsibility for your growth.

Various state and federal laws protect the confidentiality of all communications between clients and their psychologists. No information will be disclosed without prior written permission from the client.
However, suppose a client submits receipts for services to their insurance provider.
In that case, the insurance carrier may require some information about treatment to obtain reimbursement for paid services.
There are a few exceptional circumstances in which the law requires therapists to break confidentiality. These situations include:
Suspected child abuse
Suspected elder abuse
A client threatening serious bodily harm to another person or group
A client is endorsing plans to harm themselves
A court order
